The service
Pictomatic is a tool for professionals in augmentative communication — speech therapists, teachers, families — that prepares vocabularies and sentences with pictograms for each student, and prints them. The conditions for using it are the terms of use; how we handle data, the privacy policy and the data processing agreement; the cookies we use, the cookie policy.
Intellectual property
The software, the design, the texts and the Pictomatic mark belong to the owner. No part of them may be copied, modified or distributed without permission, beyond what the law allows.
The pictograms
The pictograms Pictomatic shows are not ours. They are the property of the Government of Aragon, created by Sergio Palao for ARASAAC, which distributes them under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence.
That licence allows using, copying and adapting them on three conditions: saying where they come from (attribution), no commercial use, and sharing what derives from them under the same licence. Pictomatic keeps the attribution notice on every page and in every file it exports, and whoever uses them through Pictomatic is responsible for the same. ARASAAC's own terms are at arasaac.org/terms-of-use.
Liability
The owner is not liable for interruptions of the service beyond their control, nor for the content users put into it. The sentences and vocabularies the model proposes are a proposal a professional reviews: Pictomatic replaces nobody's judgement.
Applicable law
This notice is governed by Spanish law.
